Before working with Lorraine through the Wise Moments program, my life felt like emotional whiplash. One minute I loved someone, the next I was convinced they were leaving me. I was exhausted from the intensity of my own reactions and the shame that followed. I genuinely believed I was “too much.” From our very first session, Lorraine didn’t flinch at my intensity. She didn’t try to silence it or pathologist it. She held it. That alone was healing. For the first time, I felt understood rather than managed. The structure of the program helped me slow down the split-second reactions that used to blow up my relationships. I now have space between feeling and acting. That space has saved relationships I thought were doomed. I don’t feel broken anymore. I feel aware. And that awareness has given me a sense of choice in my life.

Living with BPD, I often felt misunderstood and “too much.” What stood out immediately was how seen and held I felt in our work together. Lorraine is kind, skilled, and incredibly attuned. She helped me understand my emotional patterns without shame. The structure of the four-session Wise Moments program gave me clarity and practical tools, but it was the safety she created that made the real difference. I now have more choice in how I respond to my feelings and that has given me hope for the first time in years.

Living with BPD felt like walking around without emotional skin. Everything hurt more. Rejection felt catastrophic. Silence felt like abandonment. I was constantly bracing for the next emotional storm — usually one I created without meaning to. What made this work different was the safety. She was steady when I wasn’t. Clear boundaries, but never cold. Compassionate, but never rescuing. I felt held in mind even between sessions, which was something I had rarely experienced in my life. The Wise Moments sessions helped me recognise the urge before it turned into self-sabotage. I learned how to sit with the wave instead of drowning in it. That has changed the trajectory of my relationships and how I see myself. For the first time, I don’t feel defined by BPD. I feel capable of living beyond it.
