ABOUT ANTHONY

Anthony is a professional counsellor whose contemplative style blends clinical practice with spiritual traditions, philosophy, and a deep sense of curiosity. His work embraces the full spectrum of life’s challenges with honesty and compassion, meeting each person where they are. Working remotely with clients across Australia and overseas, he offers tailored telehealth therapy that honours the depth and diversity of everyday life. With a special interest in supporting couples and families, he also works with individuals, including children, through life’s transitions and other difficult challenges, bringing sincerity, presence, and a thoughtful blend of unique insight and practical skill. Anthony brings significant personal lived experience to his work and maintains a strong interest in both traditional and emerging approaches to trauma, explored through philosophical, scientific, and spiritual perspectives.

His ongoing engagement with research, including Developmental Trauma Disorder (DTD) and emerging Predictive Dissociative Therapy (PDT), reflects the depth of his commitment to understanding the many dimensions of traumatic experience. He approaches trauma work with great care and awareness, recognising that each person’s experience is unique and that no single method offers a universal solution. Rather than relying on a cure-all model, Anthony adopts an eclectic and responsive approach, thoughtfully attuned to the needs of each individual, couple, or family. His work is grounded in the belief that healing often begins with presence, stillness, and a renewed connection between mind, body, and spirit through which deeper purpose and meaning can be rediscovered.

Private Tele-Health Counselling Session- For Individual and Couple/Families
Anthony works from an eclectic therapeutic approach and has trained across a range of psychological models and frameworks. As such, the therapeutic approach used will be thoughtfully tailored to the presenting concerns and guided by each client’s informed response, particularly where couples or multiple family members are involved. He also offers pre-marital counselling and support for new, blended, and stepfamilies.

Family therapy presents its own unique challenges, involving multiple people, relationships, and perspectives that together shape the dynamics of the family system. Conflict within families can take many forms and is not always openly acknowledged by all members. An important first step is for everyone involved to develop an understanding of their desire for change within the current dynamic and to remain open to the therapeutic process.
